Pretty-roses picked by my husband. He not only grows pretty flowers, he arranges them nicely and then sets them on a little table by my new chaise lounge!
Happy-Estelle, happily enjoying my new chaise lounge! We envision happy summer afternoons spent reading under the hickory tree!
Funny-Someone gave Stuart a shirt that says "My mommy loves me" and Ella wondered why no one got a similar shirt for her. Here she is trying to wear Stuart's shirt, while wearing a pair of sunglasses left at our store last year!
Real - Not only is my living room a REAL mess, but last night Stuart was playing with the coffee service from the u-pick tent. He put coffee in to a bunch of cups, and when we discovered him, he added stir sticks to the cups and started handing them out to us. It was so charming I could not be upset. He may have a future at Starbucks!
More coffee, ready to be served! Joining Like Mother, Like Daughter for another round of pretty, happy, funny, real!
It always makes me smile to how much your Ella is like my Ella :)
ReplyDeleteElla loves to play Tim Hortons (Cdn Starbucks and doughnuts). She doesn't usually get cups out, she just likes to take the orders. Does she ever get upset if I order something that isn't on the menu.
Paula
The roses are just beautiful and I am have serious lounger envy!
ReplyDeleteHello, fellow {phfr} participant! Thank you for the nice comment today and may I just say...a husband who arranges roses for his wife is a total KEEPER.
ReplyDeleteWhich you knew.
Already. :)
oops...i think i gave stuart that shirt :)
ReplyDeleteThose roses are gorgeous and I love that vase. Is it milk glass? It is pretty too.
ReplyDeletePaula, your Ella sounds like so much fun! Tracey, the lounger was 15 bucks at a rummage sale-you should have seen me re-arranging children so I could fit it into my Suburban! Margaret, I did know my husband is a keeper, but it is good to be reminded! Sarah, you did give Stuart the shirt, but I love it! It is so true that I love him. Maybe Ella will get one (as a joke) for Christmas!! Donna, the vase is milk glass, found at Goodwill for a buck! Yeah!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know I wanted a chaise longue for the yard until now; but I totally do. I can envision myself lounging in the yard under our maples with my nursing baby.... Oh I am seriously in love with it. And those roses are exquisite!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous arrangement of flowers in that milk glass vase. I bet that sun lounge will get a goof workout this summer. Enjoy it - if you can get a child off it long enough to make use of it - I sense it will be a favourite spot.
ReplyDeleteMelanie, it is the perfect place to nurse a baby! Makes me wish I had a little baby again! Provincial homemaker, I have not even had a chance to sit in it and read because my little girls seem to have taken up permanent residence there. It is already a favorite spot!
ReplyDeleteLove that chaise! May you enjoy it a lot!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on acquiring the lounge!
